Product description

The two-part mini-series of silver coins from the Czech Mint was inspired by the eternal battle of good and evil. The second piece of the puzzle belongs to the good forces of light.

Good and evil are two opposing principles as old as humanity itself. On the one hand, there is futile evil, which brings death and destruction. On the other hand, there is rational good, which honours life and continuity. One cannot exist without the other – after all, the inaction of good is the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil... Good, which is the result of just, considerate and honest decisions, can be done by each and every one of us. It is up to each individual to decide whether to do what pleases them or what is beneficial. However, there are also those who expect good to come to them from outside – randomly and often undeservedly, depending on the whims of the universe or some other higher power. Perhaps this is why people have always attributed the form of various gods and angels to intangible and invisible good. However, some thinkers say that no action is inherently good or bad. It only matters what brings the greatest benefit and happiness to the most of people. Is it good when the sun shines and bad when it rains? Someone who has no roof over their head will be delighted by the sun, but a farmer whose fields need moisture will pray for rain.

On the richly coloured reverse side of the coin, medal maker PetrPatka, DiS., depicts goodness personified in the form of a blonde woman with a sword, a halo and white wings. The warrior leaves heavenly clouds behind her and, accompanied by a dove, sets off through a magical portal to fight evil. The heavenly kingdom can also be found on the obverse side of the coin, where its shining towers contrast with the desolate hellish realm. The two birds – a dove and a raven – surrounded by mystical ornaments and symbols also represent opposites. Because coins of the Czech Mint are issued with a foreign licence from the island of Niue, they also bear its national emblem, the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2025.

The issue comes in special magnetic packaging – do not miss the coin dedicated to evil, which harmoniously complement the coin of good.
