Silver coin Bob and Bobby - Cyclists proof
Silver coin Bob and Bobby - Cyclists proof
Product description
The third silver coin in the Czech Mint's collector´s mini-series dedicated to Bob and Bobby depicts the two rabbits as passionate cyclists.
The rabbits from the hat have several fathers. While their iconic appearance was the work of cartoonist Vladimír Jiránek, they were named by Jiří Šebánek and Jaroslav Pacovský, who became the first scriptwriters of their stories. Václav Bedřich took over the direction. The larger, more responsible but also more uptight Bob, together with the smaller, lazier but more imaginative Bobby, appeared between 1978 and 2005 in an incredible ninety-one cartoons, making this series the cartoon with the most episodes ever broadcast on Czech television. Bob and Bobby cannot be without the voice of Josef Dvořák and the music of Petr Skoumal.
Medal maker Petr Patka, DiS., dedicated the reverse side of the coin to the rabbits riding bicycles – as usual, Bob pedals diligently, while Bobby cleverly rides along. Since the coins from the Czech Mint are issued with a foreign licence from the island of Niue, they also bear the portrait of King Charles III, the nominal value of 1 DOLLAR (NZD) and the year of issue 2025 on the obverse side.
Don't forget that the first silver coin came with a special collector's album where you can store your complete collection of three coins.
