In the Czech Republic there are 26 municipalities. Havířov among them occupies the 11th place in terms of population, but it also includes one of the victories. It is the youngest newly built city in our country - the foudation of the village dates back to 1955 and this year, it has been 60 years since its inception. The name Havířov comes from a public tender, where 2350 proposals were sent, among them Horníkov, Čurdov, Čestprácov or New Gottwaldov. The village is an important seat of machinery, energy, rubber and food industries, but it also offers a variety of architectural and artistic attractions.
One of the famous buildings, The Culture centre Radost, as a dominant feature in the form of successful relief on the obverse side of the silver medal.
