Wherever Vlasta Burian appeared, he was welcomed and celebrated. His acting skills, perspicacity and charm were admired by all generations. But what was Vlasta Burian like off the stage or camera? It was known, that he had a penchant for a fast cars and uniforms. He himself was a member of the Czechoslovak Army and liked to wear the uniforms on his own skin. He enjoyed hunting too - he even had rented a mansion for this purpose. Just outside of Prague he owned a farm with a cows, which he named after his favorite opera characters (Carmen and Libuše for example) and they carried their names proudly on the labels above their heads. He was also an avid sportsman - he exercised daily - and an enthusiastic patron, supporting both professional and amateur sports clubs.

The face with a raised eyebrows and wide eyes, became an unmistakable gesture of the actor, that has the medalist Jaroslav Bejvl brilliantly caught on the obverse of the new commemorative mintage of a pure silver. The artist's portrait is completed on the sides with the dates 1981 and 2016 and also with the name VLASTA BURIAN. Jaroslav Bejvl wittily decorated the reverse of the medal with a motive of a filmstrip and into the boxes placed the letters forming a text FILM ACTOR and  COMEDIAN. Another tasteful feature of the reverse side is an embossed artist's signature.
