Product description
Although the Czech Republic belongs to smaller countries, its territory is an inexhaustible treasury of a historical architectural pearls. The most prominent and most beautiful of these are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and the Czech Mint Collector's Series belongs to them.
These twelve platinum coins gradually pay tribute to all twelve monuments of our material cultural heritage - the historical center of Prague, the historical center of Český Krumlov, the historical center of Telč, the pilgrimage church of St. John of Nepomuk, the historical center of Kutná Hora with the church of St. Barbara and the temple of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Sedlec, Lednice - Valtice area, the Chateau with gardens in Kroměříž, the village monument reserve in Holašovice, the Litomyšl Castle, the Holy Trinity Column in Olomouc, Villa Tugendhat and Třebíč Jewish district with St. Prokop's Basilica.
Each of these monuments has its charm, but together they offer a unique cross-section of the history of Czech architecture. The Czech Mint has therefore prepared a luxury collector's etui, that will hold the entire platinum series of coins. The lid of a dark wood box is decorated with a thematic engraving - UNESCO inscription in which the letter O is stylized in the form of a Baroque church of St. John of Nepomuk from a bird's eye view.
