The elf Rákosníček, the gnomes Křemílek and Vochomůrka, the dogs Štaflík and Špagetka – who doesn’t know them! Their stories help children drift off to sleep, teach them about the power of friendship and, at the same time, inspire them to become artists, animators or film directors. We owe all this to Zdeněk Smetana, whose fairy-tale world inspired a mini-series of commemorative coins.
