Czech Lion 2019
Gold coins are not just the privilege of numismatics, but they attract more and more investors. Therefore the Czech Mint issued a series of investment coins which are based on a foreign license and meet universally accepted standards around the world. The smallest "Czech Lion" is available to investors with a weight of 1/25 troy ounce.
"Yellow Metal" diversifies the risk, it is a unique value-enhancer, is exempt from VAT and offers an interesting appreciation. Investing in commemorative coins is an ideal solution for those who want to invest their funds into precious metals, but also want to own something that has the collector´s prize. However, there is more and more investors who look for coins, in particular because of their high liquidity and easy tradability, and do not want to pay extra for their added value. Therefore, the Czech Mint issued a series of purely investment coins with a foreign licence. These are the first coins of that kind minted in the Czech Republic.
The fact that you do not pay for collecting and artistic value when buying investment coins does not mean they can not have it. The original design of the "Czech Lion" was the work of the world-renowned artist Jaroslav Bejvl, who died at the age of 75 and did not manage to finish his work. Therefore, the talented medal maker Asamat Baltaev, DiS continues processing this masterpiece. The reverse side of the coin is dominated by an untraditional two-tailed lion which guards other attributes of our statehood which are the St. Wenceslas crown together with the St. Wenceslas Eagle. The obverse side of the coin bears the linden branch and necessary attributes of the island of Niue, which provides the Czech Mint with a foreign license to issue its own coins. These are the portrait and the name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2019 and the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD).
The low weight of gold investment coins simply allows to regulate how much funds can be invested. The total schedule of issuance counts 5000 pieces - 4500 pieces are stored in a protective capsule and another 500 pieces will be stored in a numbered collector´s packaging.
