Gold investment coin 1/2 Oz 20 CAD Maple Leaf

The Canadian Royal Mint strikes investment coins of gold, silver, platinum and palladium that are known as Maple Leaf. They feature a maple leaf. The design was created by Walter Ott.

Gold coins are made of pure gold extracted in gold mines in Canada. The coins containing  0.9999 gold (24 carats) have been marketed since 1979 in the following weights: 1/20 oz, 1/10 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz and 1oz. They have the same design and the only difference is the indicated weight and denomination on the obverse and reverse sides.
