A former president Vaclav Havel died at the end of 2011, but his great thoughts of love and humanity still resonate through our society with the same intensity. The Czech Mint also contributes to spread the joy, by continuing with a unique series of Medal of Arts for Vaclav Havel.

Individual mintages come from the work of a leading Czech artists, who with their talent supported the dream of the former president and also the efforts of the Dagmar and Vaclav Havel Foundation Vision 97 - to save the former church of St. Anne in the Prague`s Old Town and to create an international spiritual center for interesting meetings, lectures, discussions, cultural events and happenings on behalf of the Prague Crossroad. The proceeds from the sale of these exclusive mintages will the Czech Mint dedicate to the supporting of the development of this magnificent meditative space! Each of the issues of the original series is decorated with an impressive work of one of the Czech leading artists - Bořek Šípek, Jiří David, Kurt Gebauer, David Černý, Jaroslav Róna, Olbram Zoubek and finally Aleš Lamr, which is characterized by extremely optimistic work, as evidenced by the appearance of colored medal of pure gold called Iridescence. It comes as a limited edition of one hundred pieces and the weight of one ounce. On the obverse has the author placed an amoeba along with the symbol of the Prague Crossroad. Similarly  colorfull is also the reverse of the medal, which is a typical example of the production of the painter, sculptor and graphic designer, who also realized a mural at the secreteriat of the incumbent President Vaclav Havel.
