Get a unique talisman and help children

Kapka naděje (Drop of Hope) is one of the oldest Czech foundations. Since 2000, it has been helping to save the lives of child patients with serious illnesses and has implemented hundreds of charity projects during its existence. The latest charitable venture, which is the result of cooperation between Kapka naděje and the Czech Mint, takes the form of silver mandalas designed by the foundation's founder Vendula Pizingerová.

A mandala is a mystical pattern. Its name, which comes from ancient Hindu Sanskrit, can be translated simply as a circle, but its meaning is not so plain. It represents infinity, perfection, balance, unity, ... It serves as a tool for relaxation, meditation and self-knowledge, but also for solving problems or fulfilling wishes. Because each of us needs hope, health and love in our lives, they have become the main motif of charity medals.

"For almost as long as we have been looking for the best way to cooperate with the Czech Mint, we have been planning a joint trip abroad with Vendula Pizingerová. The Mandala has its origins in Sri Lanka, where we eventually went for rest and inspiration. However, it got its final form at home, where Vendula inscribed the logo of Kapka naděje into it. The Czech Mint took care of the very last touches to make sure that everything matched the production possibilities. We believe that besides the good feeling of supporting children's mental health, people will like the mandala as much as we do," says Dita Loudilová, the director of the foundation.

By purchasing a blue mandala of hope, a green mandala of health or a red mandala of love, you will be contributing to a good cause – specifically child psychiatry – while receiving a special talisman. "If our work could help save just one human life, it would be worth it," says Vendula Pizingerová.
