Karel Gott medals auction

11/03/2022

Karel Gott is number one or a charity auction!

The Czech Mint's miniseries of commemorative medals dedicated to Karel Gott has been an unprecedented success in 2019. The complete mintage in gold and silver was quickly dismantled, making the three-part issue one of the most unique in the collector's world. Now we present the very last opportunity to acquire this Karel Gott keepsake.

We have donated a complete set of gold medals to a charity auction facilitated by Aukro. All three medals are hand-numbered on the edge, with the coveted number 1, which we have saved for a special occasion.

Proceeds from the auction will support Kapka Hope - a foundation to help sick children.

You can participate in the auction with the Czech Mint and Kapka naděje from 10 to 20 March 2022.

The first medal features the master as a legendary singer - specifically, the performer of the hit Lady Carneval. The second medal commemorates that the popular nightingale was also an accomplished painter. The third medal shows Karel Gott as a social phenomenon - a personality known to every Czech and who shone far beyond the borders of his homeland.

The auction also includes a wooden box with an engraving of the master's signature.

Donate to a good cause!

Update: On Sunday, March 20, 2022, the set was auctioned for 356,000 crowns - or nearly three times the asking price. Thank you for helping us to help!
