What have we got in store for collectors?

Hurvínek, the wooden rascal

Hurvínek is celebrating his incredible 100th birthday. To mark the occasion, the legendary marionette appeared on gold coins, which sold out immediately – but the celebrations don’t end there. We have also prepared sets of circulation coins for fans of this wooden rascal. The sale of these collections, which contain six Czech coins with the year 2026 minted on them and a coloured commemorative token, will begin right at the fair. The mintage is limited to just 2000 sets.

Hurvínek will be there in person to present this numismatic novelty, accompanied by his dad, Spejbl. On Friday 4 September 2026 at 1:00 pm, you’ll find them on the stage in front of the Czech Post stand, and afterwards you’ll be able to meet them at our stand. There, you will be able to purchase not only the coin sets but also special postage stamps created in collaboration between the Czech Mint, the Czech Post and the Spejbl and Hurvínek Theatre. The sheet containing 8 stamps is being issued in a run of 1000 copies – 300 of which will be signed by the birthday boy himself.

Martin Šonka, the aerobatic pilot

Pilot Martin Šonka is a living legend of Czech aviation. Our silver commemorative medal pays tribute to him, and sales will begin right here at the fair. The mintage is limited to just 500 pieces – each medal, weighing 29 grams, is numbered on the edge and presented in a themed case.

Martin Šonka himself will unveil the design of the medal on Saturday 5 September 2026 at 10:30 am on the stage in front of the Czech Post stand. This will be followed by an autograph session with the pilot at our stand.
