The Czech Mint has prepared a unique tribute to the significant Czech sculptor, carver and medalist František David (* 25/ 10./1913, Buchlovice; † 19./01/2002 Slaný). It chose the form of a set of Czechoslovak cents, designed by the artist. The kit includes silver replicas of coins with a value of 5, 10 and 50 cents, as well as a gold replica of 20 cents and a silver medal dedicated to portraits of František David by Jaroslav Bejvl. The set is stored in a luxury wooden etui and includes an elegant certificate of authenticity.

The coins were put into circulation on 1^st of 7 1977. On the obverse side there is the national emblem and the name of the state the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic under it the year of its production is placed. Thereverse side carries the nominal value - a large numeral "5", under the letter "h" and above the five-pointed star. The letter "D" identifies the author of the coin. Plain edge. Those coins had value both in Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, as well as in Czechoslovak Federative Republic, and after its end  in the Czech Republic and Slovakia - thy remained so for 16 years in circulation There were emitted over 193 million pieces pětihaléř!

In December 1974  appeared 10 cent coin in circulation with the national emblem Czechoslovakia on the obverse side and with the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic on its description. The reverse side consists of a large number "10" with a small "h". Above the number we can find five-pointed star on the left and below its base is the author's brand of "D". Plain edge. The circulation of these ten hellers took place for19 years and they were minted over one billion of them!

Twenty heller coin took effect in 1972. The obverse side covers the national emblem and  the inscription Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, and a year of manufacture. The reverse side is decorated with a large number "20", the lowercase letter "h" and the Mark of František David "D". Edge is serrated. Brass 10 cent coins also had value in Czechoslovakia and later in the independent republics. The circulation took place for 21 years with a total of about 600 million pieces!

Fifty heller coin was placed into circulation in the autumn of 1978. The obverse side includes the national emblem, the inscription Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, and the year of its publication. Large numeral "50" dominates the reverse side and it is completed by a five-pointed star and the artist's trademark "D". It has the serrated edge. It was in circulation for 15 years , it was made nearly 215 in million pieces!
