Product description
The Czech Mint released the Czech Lions in 2017. A series of investment coins has been minted with a foreign license in several different variants. Their offer is gradually expanding. The set introduced four pieces of gold coins weighing up to one troy ounce in 2019.
Investment coins, as their name suggests, appeal primarily to investors who know that a sophisticated portfolio can not be without precious metals. However, the Czech lions also have collector´s value. In a common etui you will find coins weighing one ounce, one quarter-ounce, one twenty-fifth-ounce and one half a gram. The half-gram Czech Lion appears in the Czech Mint's offer for the first time and this set is the only way to purchase it.
The reverse side of the investment coins presents the symbols of Czech statehood - an untraditionally realistic two-tailed lion guarding the St. Wenceslas crown on a cushion and the flaming St. Wenceslas eagle on the shield. The obverse side of each coin belongs to the name and the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2019, and the nominal values of 50, 10, 5 and 5 DOLLARS (NZD), which means the necessary elements of the Niue Island, which provides the Czech Mint with a foreign license to coin its own investment coins. The lime branch completes the composition of the obverse side. Sophisticated design of the coin was created by the expert medal maker Jaroslav Bejvl. However, he left us forever at the age of 75, even before he managed to finish his work, so the young talent Asamat Baltaev, DiS continued processing his masterpiece.
The low schedule of issuance counts only 100 pieces. A new variant of the Czech Lion will delight mainly investors and collectors.
