Silver 200-crown coin Foundation of Junák Scout movement standard

Junák, a union of boy- and girl-scouts, is the largest scout and youth organization in the Czech Republic. Silver 200-crown coin commemorating the 100th anniversary of Junák movement foundation is the third of a series of five 200-crown coins issued by the Czech National Bank (CNB) in 2012. Its design was created by academic sculptor Zbyněk Fojtů who won a country-wide anonymous contest organized by CNB.

Czech Mint strikes coins for CNB of fine 0.925 silver. Standard and proof qualities differ by the finish of the surface and edge. Proof quality coins have a highly polished field and matted relief, and smooth edge, while standard quality coins have a reeded edge. The diameter of the coin is 31 mm, it weighs 13 g and is 2,35 mm thick.

On the obverse side of the coin its author placed a composition containing scout symbols. Around the rim we can read the name of
the country „ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA“ and denomination of the coin “200 Kč“.

The reverse side features the portrait of the founder of the Junák movement A. B. Svojsík, text “ZALOŽENÍ JUNÁKA“ and years “1912–
2012“.

Each coin is delivered with a white catalogue card containing description of the coin and its three-dimensional depiction.
