Another silver coin from the series inspired by the Harry Potter film series features the beauty of Hogwarts' Great Hall.

The name Great Hall captures not only the vastness of this common room at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but also its irreplaceable significance. The school year is opened here with a speech and a banquet. The Wise Hat tells each new student which dormitory he or she will be placed in. The most important examinations, balls and ceremonies take place here. But the Great Hall is also a place of lively everyday life - at four long tables, students eat breakfast, receive mail, write homework and chat with friends. A fifth table is reserved for professors, other school staff and special guests. The magic ceiling changes depending on what the weather is like outside. Thousands of burning candles float beneath it, with Hogwarts ghosts flitting among them...

The reverse side of the coin is dominated by a faithful depiction of the Great Hall, with its vaulted ceiling, giant stained glass window and gargoyles representing Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. The relief is patinated, which makes even the smallest details stand out. The obverse side then presents the portrait and name of the monarch Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2022 and the nominal value of TWO DOLLARS (NZD) - i.e. the attributes of the issuer of the coin, which is the island of Niue. The coin was minted with official film licence by the team at the New Zealand Mint.
