This silver coin pays tribute to the adored Marvel comics superhero known to the world as Spider-Man.

Peter Parker was an ordinary teenager, but after he was bitten by a radioactive spider, his life changed. He gained the ability to climb walls, superhuman strength and agility, and animal instincts. He decided to use these incredible skills to his personal advantage and selfishly enjoyed life. He cared nothing for other people, and when he had the opportunity to stop a fleeing thief, he let him escape. But then the same criminal murdered Peter's beloved uncle, and the devastated young man realized that great power comes in hand with great responsibility. Since then, he has used his power exclusively to fight crime. In addition to his muscles, he has also used his keen intellect to build mechanical spider web throwers. The Spider-Man can take on robbers and gangsters, but a host of deadly supervillains - the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom, Kraven, Mysterio, Vulture, Lizard, Rhino, Electro, ... Peter Parker doesn't rest even when he takes off his red and blue costume. As a student, he struggles with bills, love and bullying, but as Spider-Man, he's always ready to go to the streets of New York and risk his life for the good of others…

The reverse side of the coin presents Spider-Man in a fighting pose. His right hand shoots out a spider web which is rendered in vibrant colors. The iconic spider symbol is also present in relief. The obverse side is then dedicated to the necessary elements of the issuer, which is the island of Niue - i.e. the national emblem, the nominal value of TWO DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2023. The mintage, which is issued with the official license of Marvel, is the work of the New Zealand Mint.

The coin is placed in an elegant box with a comic book illustration.
