Silver coin 2 Oz Nature Spirits: Flower fairy

Another spirit of nature featured on this exceptional silver coin from the modern mint Mint XXI is the flower fairy.

Magical fairies, ethereal female beings, take on a wide variety of forms. Some live in the forests, others in the water, and still others fly. While one is indistinguishable from a human woman, another is no larger than a dragonfly. The home of the tiny flower fairies, whose wings resemble petals, are meadows and gardens. They come into the world when a bud blooms, and then they conscientiously care for their plant. For as it blooms, they grow stronger, and as it withers, they grow weaker. Shy flower fairies shy away from humans and hide in the wild, but the bolder ones venture closer to human dwellings, where they tend to neglected flower beds… In art, flower fairies are often a symbol of beauty and the ever-changing rhythm of nature. They remind us that even the smallest flower has its significance and that when we care for nature, it can bloom again and again…

The reverse side of the coin features two depictions of a flower fairy. While the first emphasizes her graceful face, the second highlights her petite figure. The creature curled up in a rosebud embraces a dewdrop, which is crafted from pink agate. The obverse side is dedicated not only to flower fairies but also to the spirits of other elements. Since the coin is issued with a foreign license from the state of Cameroon, the obverse side also bears its name, the year 2026, and the nominal value of 2,000 CFA FRANCS (XAF). All of this is rendered in high relief, enhanced by coloring and patina.

The coin, minted from two ounces of pure silver, has an issue limit of 500 pieces.
