Unique silver coins with Czech crystal "Crystal Coin" are the result of a combination of traditional Jablonec crafts - the Czech Mint and Preciosa glassworks. A flower became a new motif of their brand.

There are 400 thousand different types of flowers in the world. At first glance, they differ in colour, shape, scent and texture. But they also have an effect on the soul as well as on the senses. They evoke different emotions, therefore, have been used to express feelings since ever. We will probably never know when the first person saw a flower in bloom and decided to give it as a gift, but we can find evidence of this ritual in Stone Age excavations. As human society evolved, the importance of flowers grew - even giving rise to an entire floral language. So-called flower talk is a way of expressing your feelings to another person using flowers exclusively. In situations where we can't find words, silent plants can speak up and say "I love you", "I'm sorry", "my condolences", "happy birthday", …

The reverse side of the coin, which is the work of medal maker Petra Brodská, DiS., bears the most popular flower of all - the rose. The crystal flower is supplemented with other flowers stamped in pure silver. The Czech-English inscription states PRO TEBE - FOR YOU. As the coins of the Czech Mint are issued under the licence of a foreign issuer, which is the island of Niue, their obverse side bears its necessary attributes - the national emblem, the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2024. All this is surrounded by an elaborated floral decoration.

The coin makes an original gift for any occasion. It is placed in elegant packaging that can be simply transformed into a practical frame to display it.
