Silver "coin note" Star Wars VII 2019 - Kylo Ren

The seventh episode of Star Wars, subtitled The Force Awakens, kicked off a new chapter in the adored film saga. Its characters, including Kylo Ren, appear on special coins in the form of notes made of silver.

The Galactic Civil War is over, the Empire has fallen, and it is once again the time of the Republic. Along with it, the Jedi Order was to be reborn, with Ben Solo, the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia, as its most promising hope. The boy gifted with a connection to the Force became the protégé of Luke Skywalker, who sought to raise his nephew to be a wise and righteous knight. However, his grandfather's legacy took over and he succumbed to the Dark Side. As Kylo Ren, he set out to rule the galaxy...

On the reverse side of the "banknote", which was created by the New Zealand Mint, Kylo Ren is depicted twice - the first portrait (with mask and lightsaber) is coloured and the second (without mask) is in the form of an engraving. The insignia of the First Order also appears in relief. The obverse side bears the necessary attributes of the issuer, which is the island of Niue - i.e. the name and portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the nominal value of ONE DOLLAR (NZD) and the year of issue 2019.
