Product description

The animated stories about the robber Rumcajs written by Václav Čtvrtek first appeared on television in 1967. Since then, 50 years have passed, and to Rumcajs therefore belongs this birthday silver coin.

Before he became famous as a robber, he worked as a shoemaker. His shoes were very popular among the inhabitants of Jičín and even the mayor Humpál decided to use his services. The mayor was especially proud of his majestic feet, that Rumcajs inadvertently offended when measuring. On the ground of that the mayor forced him to leave without giving him the opportunity to defend himself. However, the shoemaker settled down in a cave near to the forest Řáholec and began to live as a robber. He got himself a tall red hat, a wild beard, in which a swarm of bees settled down, and a pistol, which he loaded with acorns. However, not all robbers are the same! Good people do not have to be afraid of the forest bandit – his target is especially the mayor and the arrogant nobility.

The reverse side of the coin belongs to Rumcajs, calling on someone in the forest Řáholec - perhaps Humpál, who got lost in the robbers area. A talented medal maker Irena Hradecká, DiS., has transferred the figure of Rumcajs, illustrated by Radek Pilař, into a relief form. The obverse side of the mintage then bears the necessary attributes of the island of Niue, which provides the Czech Mint with license to mint their own commemorative coins: the name and profile of Queen Elizabeth II., the year of the issue of the coin 2017 and its nominal value of 1 DOLLAR (NZD).

A collectible album, where you can save a whole fairy family including the characters of Manka and Cipísek, builds an integral part of Rumcajs silver coin.
