The medal was issued in cooperation with the Czech Olympic Committee.
The obverse side of the medal features a stone statue of North Canada’s symbol – Ilanaaq the Inunnguaq – on top of Whistler Village Gondola inWhistler Blackcomb that became the mascot of Winter Olympic Games 2010.
A maple leaf – the symbol of Canada – forms the reverse side of the medal together with the text Olympic Games 2010, Vancouver.
