Above his head shines the Star of Bethlehem with the crib bearing Latin inscriptions ‘Gloria in excelsis Deo’ and in Czech ‘Glory to God in the highest’. The reverse is identical to all of the medals in the Bethlehem series and is decorated with the well-known fourteen-pointed silver star, which is featured in original marble plate indicating the place where the Virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus. The design is completed with the words ‘Star of the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem’.
