Product description
The miniseries, which is published on the occasion of 90th birthday of Jiří Suchý, are enriched with a second commemorative medal made of pure gold. It commemorates not only the birthday person, but also his theatrical partner Jitka Molavcová.
The golden era of the Semafor Theater ended in 1969. Jiří Šlitr died, normalization broke out in society and Jiří Suchý was seriously considering closing the theater. Fortunately, he persevered and decided to resist the adversity of fate. Then, when one of the Semafor "girls", who worked as a chansonnier in the theater, began to show an unusual combination of subtle personal charm and unusual comic talent, Jiří Suchý knew that he had found a new soul mate. Since then, Jitka Molavcová has become famous as a versatile singer, whose girl soprano is perfect for the French, a musician who masters a wide range of musical instruments, an actress, entertainer and presenter. Her harmony with Jiří Suchý has lasted for fifty years. "I enjoy finishing, inventing, improvising. Usually during the rehearsals, the text is modified, variously changed, humorous situations arise. We have fun with it and we are always looking forward, we are curious how the audience is going to react. It is a creative adventure that Jiří Suchý and I like, “ says Jitka Molavcová.
The obverse side of the medal, which was processed by MgA. Martin Dašek, is dominated by portraits of Jitka Molavcová and Jiří Suchý. They do not miss the typical properties - saxophone and straw hat. The inscriptions bear the names of the artists and the names of famous Semaphor pieces. The polished surface behind the portraits symbolizes the glow of the spotlights. The reverse side, which is common to the entire miniseries, presents the Semafor logo, a keyboard and two headgears that are linked with Jiří Suchý and Jiří Šlitr - a straw hat and a bowler hat.
Each medal is numbered by hand on the edge. For fans who plan to buy a complete three-part collection of gold medals, we have also prepared a wooden collector's box.
