The Collector 2025 Fair

14/08/2025

The Collector Fair in Prague is the largest gathering of collectors in Central and Eastern Europe. This paradise for lovers of coins, postage stamps, postcards, vinyl records, minerals or banknotes will open its doors on September 5, 2025, and the Czech Mint will be there.

What have we got in store for collectors? First and foremost, hot news from the world of the Czech Lion!

In the nine years since their introduction, our bullion coins have found fans both at home and abroad. In addition to their investment potential, they have also attracted attention with their eye-catching patriotic relief, which takes on a new form every year. Since 2017, Asamat Baltaev has been the author of the Czech Lions, but this year he has taken on this task for the last time. The tenth anniversary of the bullion coin will therefore be taken over by another master of the medal-making craft in 2026. It will be Vojtěch Dostál, who is not only an artist but also a teacher at the Jablonec medal-making school where Asamat Baltaev studied.

On Friday, September 5, 2025, both authors will visit the Collector Fair and share their experiences, feelings, and advice. Is it difficult to come up with a new idea every year? How does a teacher feel about taking over the work of his student? Does the authorship of an internationally renowned coin cause stage fright? What does the future hold for the Czech Lion? You will learn all this and much more on stage in front of the Czech Post exhibition from 2:00 p.m.

The medal makers will be interviewed by a true expert – collector guru and fair organizer Jindřich Jirásek. Don't miss the podcast that he and his brother Petr are preparing not only for all collectors.
