Unique silver coins with Czech crystal "Crystal Coin" are the result of a combination of traditional Jablonec crafts - the Czech Mint and Preciosa glassworks. The popular butterfly motif appears on them for the third time, again with a new design.

It is said that luck is like a butterfly - when we try to catch up with it, we never catch it, but if we stop quietly, it can sit right on top of us. We associate the fragile creature with its colourful wings and graceful flight with carefree, joy and freedom, but also with transformation and rebirth. The butterfly caterpillar pupates and then sets off to discover the world in a new form and without fear, and the butterfly motif is therefore a powerful symbol, especially for anyone facing a life change.

The reverse side of the coin, which is the work of medal maker Petra Brodská, DiS., presents a butterfly whose wings are a combination of embossed relief and Czech crystal. The elaborated mosaic includes Czech-English inscriptions - NADĚJE, HOPE, VOLNOST, FREEDOM, SNY, DREAMS, ZMĚNA, CHANGE, RADOST, JOY. The butterfly can also be found on the obverse side of the coin, where it is part of a flowering garden. As the coins of the Czech Mint are issued with the licence of a foreign issuer, which is the island of Niue, the obverse side bears its necessary elements - the national emblem, the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2024.

The coin makes an original gift for any occasion. It is stored in an elegant packaging which can be easily transformed into a practical frame to display it.
